30% non-refundable deposit is required at the signing of the contract. If not paid within 72 hours, the booked will be canceled and removed from the photographer's schedule. Dogs are allowed for photographs with proof of current rabies vaccination. Additional fees may apply depending on the situation, such as, but not limited to, rush fees, late fees, driving distance, and rude or belligerent behavior. Rush fees start at $100, and late fees begin at $50 for every hour late after the 30-minute mark. Driving distance will be calculated based on distance and gas prices, assuming 20 MPG is the average. Rude and belligerent behavior will incur a fee starting at $150 per incident, which includes, but is not limited to, insults, yelling, name-calling, physical aggression, verbal or mental aggression, and threats made towards the business (A Royal Penguin Photography), the photographer (Ashlee), or anyone associated with either.

Cancellations and reschedules are allowed; customers can cancel or reschedule appointments themselves up to 7 days before their appointment. If cancellations occur closer to the appointment, the photographer must be contacted to change, edit, or cancel the appointment. Rescheduling times depend on the photographer's availability, and no time can be promised unless a new contract is signed. Outstanding payments are due at the time of service; payment information will be charged unless a new payment method is provided. If payment is not successful, the client has 72 hours to rectify the payment method. If payment is still not received after 72 hours, legal action will be taken, and a late payment fee of $50 per week will be added until paid. The photographer (Ashlee) and the business (A Royal Penguin Photography) own all rights to the photographs and may use them as they see fit, including but not limited to advertising, marketing, ad creation, and promotional materials. Clients will not receive compensation for any sales, bookings, business, or profit obtained from the photographs used. In the event a client is not satisfied with the items received, legal action cannot be taken against the photographer or anyone associated with A Royal Penguin Photography personally. By booking an appointment, the client agrees to all terms and conditions stated in this policy and therefore releases the photographer (Ashlee) and the business (A Royal Penguin Photography) from all liabilities.
